One of the highlights for NGSS PNG in 2024 was our Alotau project that came to completion toward the end of the year. This saw the supply, installation and commissioning of 3x910 Kva Diesel Generator at PNG Power House in Alotau.
The small township is the provincial capital of Milne Bay, a maritime province that has seen significant growth in its tourism sector over the years. However frequent blackouts and power outage had become an issue, prompting the provincial Governor Hon. Gordon Wesley to launch an initiative to address this.
NGSS PNG successfully supplied, installed, and commissioned 3x910 Kva Diesel Generators to PNG Power House in Alotau.
During pre-commissioning, our team closely monitored critical parameters, including temperature, load performance, and potential oil leaks, ensuring all systems were functioning optimally. Once the Gensets passed these checks, we proceeded to integrating them into the existing grid”.
The successful completion of this project now adds to PNG Powers capacity to supply its consumers in Alotau.
