Yalu Solar Project

A 10 MW / 23 MWh Battery Energy Storage System from Sigenergy, utilizing modern energy storage technology to store and dispatch during critical periods, thereby enhancing the reliability of the Ramu Grid.

The Yalu Solar Project, officially confirmed  on December 8th, 2026 and expected to be fully operational by Dec-2026, has been positioned as a utility-scale renewable energy facility, incorporating proven and advanced technologies to strengthen grid stability and support long-term economic growth.

The project will comprise:

 • A 10 MW Solar PV plant, developed to utility standards and optimized to harness the strong solar resource of the Yalu area.

 • A 10 MW / 20 MWh Battery Energy Storage System, utilizing modern energy storage technology to store and dispatch during critical periods, thereby enhancing the reliability of the Ramu Grid.

Together, this solar-plus-storage configuration represents a modern hybrid energy solution, supporting PNG Power’s transition towards cleaner energy while maintaining stable system operations.
